Greetings. This is Cecilia from the Scholarly Guild.

If you have opened this book, you are likely someone more familiar with the smell of gunpowder than ink, and more at home in a rowdy tavern than a well-organized library. Calibrea is currently passing through a turbulent era where sword and magic clash and mingle with newly emerging machinery.

However, as my records can attest, this very chaos represents the greatest opportunity and romance for an adventurer like you.

A Guild is not merely a rigid organization for processing contracts and receiving payments. It is a place where you share a toast with comrades entrusted with your life, where the glimmer of treasure from unknown ruins awaits, and where a cheerful (or sometimes troublesome) daily life of causing absurd accidents and running away coexists.

I hope this record serves as a small guide on your journey. May you hunt monsters, build your reputation, and raise a toast safely tonight with heavy pockets.
