In the once-prosperous city of Brugeveke, the Black Death has cast its shadow. The plague devours all with chilling impartiality, sparing neither station, faith, nor fortune. Behind the sealed walls, the city has become a colossal tomb. Aid from the state has ceased, miracles from God have fallen silent, and the light of reason has been extinguished by the storm of despair.

Yet, even amidst the ashes, humanity does not stop questioning. What is the source of this horrific catastrophe? What is the path to our salvation? What must we do to survive this hell, or to end this suffering?

The Searchers is the story of individuals who have set out to find their own answers to these very questions.

One seeks a miracle in unwavering faith, while another walks a path of painful atonement, believing the plague to be God’s wrath. One preaches that reason is the only key to overcoming chaos, while another dreams of purification through destruction, convinced that civilization itself is the source of the pestilence. There are those who would sell their souls to a demon to save the city, those who whisper that death is the only true solace, and those who have made the coldest of resolves to end all this tragedy.

Upon the desperate stage of Brugeveke, these figures, each consumed by their own convictions and madness, collide in an attempt to prove their answer is the right one. Will their choices lead themselves and others to salvation, or will they drag them into a deeper ruin?
