Behind all natural phenomena and concepts resides an independent existence with intellect and emotions, known as ‘The Mystery’. Mages bring about supernatural phenomena by ‘communicating’ and ‘negotiating’ with them through the ancient language, ‘Isilian’.

The success of magic depends on the mage’s eloquence, diplomatic skill, and sincerity, and the primary methods of negotiation are divided into four paths.

Domus Precatio: The path of humbly ‘Requesting’.
Domus Quaestio: The path of delving into the essence by ‘Questioning’.
Domus Suasio: The path of ‘Persuading’ the other party with logic.
Domus Munus: The path of making a deal by offering a ‘Offering’ as compensation.
